Many of our patients brush and floss as recommended, but still can't avoid the stains and discoloration that come with normal wear and tear. Coffee and tobacco are especially troublesome but common causes of teeth stains and yellowing. To combat discoloration, many of our Brea and Fullerton area patients opt for our convenient teeth whitening procedure. Designed Smiles uses a special whitening gel that is applied to the teeth and activated by a low-energy light to achieve dramatically whiter teeth in about an hour. The teeth whitening procedure is very safe, though some patients report increased tooth sensitivity directly afterward, and the results are immediately apparent.

Designed Smiles also offers at-home teeth whitening. This process takes slightly longer than an in-office appointment, but patients can do it on their own time. It uses a similar whitening gel, applied over a longer period of time in a series of specially-designed trays. Although the process takes slightly more time, it achieves results similar to our in-office treatment and generally is less expensive.
