Our La Habra practice now offers Invisalign®, and straightening crooked teeth has never been so easy and unobtrusive. Invisalign® comprises a series of custom-molded, clear plastic aligners that gradually straighten teeth, without the sharp metal of traditional braces. They can be taken out for eating and cleaning, and they take approximately the same amount of time to straighten teeth as metal braces. Patients can still talk, smile and brush their teeth as they normally do, and still achieve the straight teeth they desire.

The staff of Designed Smiles first takes a mold of the patient's teeth, and sends it, along with x-rays and photos of the patient's mouth, to the Invisalign® lab. They create a series of clear aligners, custom-made for each patient based on the information we send, and send them back to us. The patient wears each aligner for approximately two weeks, and then discards it for the next one in the series. With a great flexibility in the size and shape of the aligners, they can be fitted to almost any patient. Although some patients' teeth may require longer to straighten, usually the entire process takes less than two years. Patients from our La Habra practice who have undergone the Invisalign® treatment tell us that the aligners are easy to live with, and nearly unnoticeable to others.
